From a very young age, Dr. Colleen Rosario wanted to rescue all the stray animals on the island of Guam where she grew up. She loved animals, but as she got older never really considered a career in Veterinary Medicine. Then, when she was in college her beloved dog, Mimzy, was hit by a car. Fortunately, after some skilled care and orthopedic surgery Mimzy made a full recovery. The quiet voice she used to hear as a kid telling her to become a veterinarian could no longer be ignored. A short time later she hopped on a plane to the mainland USA to pursue her calling. She graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from Wright State University in Dayton, OH. She attended Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in Indiana obtaining her D.V.M. in May 2018.
Dr. Rosario has a cat, Chester, a Quaker parrot, Bindi, and Labrador Retrievers, Samantha and newest addition Cake. In her free time, Dr. Rosario likes going to concerts and movies with her husband and spending time with her daughter.
