Mike

With a veterinary career spanning over two decades, Mike began his journey in January 2002 after graduating from the Florida Institute of Animal Arts. He launched his career at Underhill Animal Hospital in Central Florida, where he played a key role in the care of K9 units from 23 police departments across Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties—as well as Homeland Security, the USDA, and the U.S. Fire Marshal.

In 2006, he relocated to Fort Myers and joined Veranda Pet Hospital, where he continued his work with law enforcement K9s, this time serving the Lee County Sheriff's Office. He remained there until 2013, when a career-ending stroke temporarily paused his hands-on work in the field. Following a period of recovery, he retrained for front office operations and was proud to return to the profession he loves.

In 2022, he moved to the Houston area and accepted a temporary position at Gulf Coast Animal Eye Clinic. By March 2023, he found his home at the Animal Clinic of La Porte, where he continues to serve pets and their families with dedication and compassion.

Outside of work, he enjoys cheering on the Miami Hurricanes football team and volunteering in the Audio/Visual department at Clear Lake A.M.E. Church. He shares his home with his best friend Tamara and their beloved cat, Sebastian—named after the University of Miami's iconic mascot.
